Youth and Children

The NLUC Youth Ministry strives to provide and facilitate regular, meaningful and successful youth and pre-teen activities in the church and in our community, and also to foster, develop and facilitate youth-driven initiatives.

We are:

  • A group of people committed to provide safe opportunities for youth to find a ‘place’ amongst our community and in Mission with Christ.
  • A Christ-centered congregation that is seeking to find ways God can use us to make a difference in our community and in the world.
  • A warm, active and caring ‘family’ that strives to be a safe place for people of all ages to question, develop and grow in their faith.

Children’s Ministry

We long to be the blessing to our next generation that God intends, and believe that our youth and children are not only the future; they are our ‘present’.

Our heart’s desire is to strengthen relationships and build connections to each other and our community and our Lord. We want to encourage and facilitate activities that engage all generations in the congregation and the wider community, and that make a difference in our lives and others.

Our Sunday School Curriculum covers seasonal themes, Bible stories, Bible studies, liturgical knowledge and outreach projects. Godly Play stories are told every first Sunday of the month. We have a group of volunteers who take turns to lead the children on Sundays.

Nursery Option – We love to have babies, young children and families in our service! Parents with young children are also welcome to visit the nursery to relax or play there if they prefer. Our nursery room has a TV monitor viewing of the service and is down the stairs beside the Duncan Hall. Ask one of our hosts to show you the way!
