We have entered a team for the 2009 Relay for Life that will be held at Mahon Park, Jones Avenue, North Vancouver on Saturday, June 13, 2009. This is the 7th year that North Lonsdale United Church will be participating at this event!

Everyone is invited to come to the Strawberry Tea which will be on Thursday, June 11th in the Auditorium starting at 1:00 pm. There will be sign up sheets posted in the Narthex where you can indicate if you can attend. Please contact Kay Furniss if you have any ideas as to how to make this an enjoyable event for everyone.
Four of our young people have been given the opportunity to travel to Africa together with a number of other Canadians to work with an organization that provides direct support to the aftermath of HIV/AIDS. They work with orphans and Vulnerable children providing them with skills, knowledge and counseling to help them survive the pandemic. Our team will be travelling to South Africa and working in the province of Mpumalanga near a small town called White River during June and July. Palm Sunday – April 5th
Morning worship service at 10.00AM.
Thursday Night – April 9th
A 7.00pm worship service that includes both foot washing and Holy Communion, remembering the night our Lord was betrayed and arrested.
Good Friday – April 10th
Noon – 3.00PM. A 3 hour worship gathering focusing on the darkness that covered the earth while Jesus hung on the cross, just before He died. Prayer Vigil from 3.00PM on Good Friday to 7.00AM on Easter morning. A forty hour prayer vigil with members of the congregation at prayer in our church sanctuary, non-stop, for 40 hours.

7.00AM Sunrise worship to end prayer vigil.
10.00AM Family Worship – Easter Resurrection celebration!
