North Shore Meals on Wheels

North Shore Meals-on-Wheels’ delivers meals on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. The food is supplied by Cheers Restaurant. Over 8500 hours of volunteer help was used to keep in touch with clients, package and deliver meals last year.

North Lonsdale and St. David’s United Churches are used for the packaging and distribution of meals. The increased demand for this service is rapidly posing a challenge for getting enough volunteers. People are needed both to work in the kitchen packaging the food as well as as drivers delivering the food to clients.
